SHE'S FOLKS' HOLIDAY HOOTENANNY at the Athenaeum Theatre
After wrapping up their summer with sold-out performances at Steppenwolf's LookOut Theatre, She's Folks! is gearing up for the holidays with She's Folks' Holiday Hootenanny!
Elizabeth Morgan and her band are hitchin' up the sleigh to bring you their signature story, song and, sass - with a seasonal twist. She's Folks! promises big laughs, tight harmonies, and one heck of a story about a goat.
She's Folks! is a little bit country, a little bit rock 'n' roll, and a lot of laughs. Journey from the big city to Midwestern farm country and back again through folk and country music, hilarious stories, soaring harmonies, and a wry view of the folks back home. With a relaxed stage presence and style, Morgan and her band introduce the audience to eccentric characters, absurd situations, and touching observations. It's a postcard to the country from a kid who couldn't wait to leave.
Join Elizabeth and her band of "merry" minstrels as they celebrate the holiday season with charming tales, as well as quirky takes on such seasonal classics as "Sleigh Ride," country gems like "Christmas Time is a-Comin'," a medley of holiday hymns, as well as original tunes such as "I-90, Take Me Home" and "The Threshold," that are sure to become folk favorites.
