SHAKESPEARE'S FEMALE WOMEN Opens at Skokie Theatre Tonight, 9/8

SHAKESPEARE'S FEMALE WOMEN, Produced, Written and Performed by Ever Mainard and Alicia Queen, is an absurd romp that delves into the feminine mystique of the Bard. Ever Mainard and Alicia Queen will perform all of Shakespeare’s women in this offbeat performance with a sketch comedy feel. By juxtaposing modern trends and viewpoints with the classical nature of the Bard, Shakespeare’s women will come to life in this era of technology, advertisement, and hyper-logic.

Alicia Queen is a graduate of Rhodes College with a concentration in Commedia del'arte from the Acedamia del'arte in Arezzo, Italy. She has worked with the Tennessee Shakespeare Company, Theater Memphis, and developed her own Neo-Futurist group in Memphis, Tn. She recently featured in the Chicago Reader for her performance in Roundhouse Theatre Company's production of Reservoir Dogs.

Ever Mainard is a Chicago comedian who has performed in T.B.S.'s Just for Laughs Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival (best of Bridgetown, Best of Chicago) and Chicago Fringe Festival. Ever is a cast member of Chicago Underground Comedy and is one of the producer/host of The Shit Show.  She has been named one of the Top Seven Acts of 2012 by Metromix/Redeye Chicago. Ever's work has been featured on Jezebel.com, The Aipiary, The A.V. Club, and more.
