Roberta Miles Performs At Let Them Eat Cake

By: Jun. 21, 2011

Roberta Miles, femme fatale, will be presenting an hour long performance based on her experiences through life. This juicy, gutsy look at life will be presented at "Let Them Eat Chocolate", 5306 N. Damen. 7:30 pm. There is a $10 suggested donation.

Roberta Miles, best known to Chicago audiences as a jazz singer and painter, has rapidly gained a reputation for her irreverent autobiographical monologues that make up a tell-all expose of her quirky, edgy life. She premiered her monologues with Three Cat Media Productions at Gorilla Tango Theater, and has done readings at the Nerve Gallery, Kate the Great's Book Emporium, the Flatiron Building, and is a proud cast member of Beast Women. Roberta is the producer and one of the two "Loose Chicks," a show performed monthly with fellow thespian, Jillian Erickson, at "Let Them Eat Chocolate," and also the co-producer of "Café Cabaret" performed at "Café Ballou". These monologues are the basis for her one-woman show, which begins touring in early November 2011.

Thanks to "Let Them Eat Chocolate" and owner Debra Voss, who is hosting this magical hour. Located at 5306 N. Damen, Let Them Eat Chocolate is a cozy neighborhood café featuring Belgium Chocolates, homemade gelatos, and a selection delicious sandwiches and tasty pastries. "LTEC" is dedicated to promoting health and happiness through balance and community by creating an intimate space in which art and intellect are brought together and can flourish.

"Let Them Eat Chocolate" supports local artists.
