Redmoon's 2015 Spring Event THE DEVIL'S CABARET Begins Tonight
Redmoon, Chicago's acclaimed Spectacle company, presents its 2015 Spring event, The Devil's Cabaret, fueled by Lagunitas Brewing Company. Guests will experience thrilling spectacle performances celebrating the Devil's "greatest accomplishments" - the Seven Deadly Sins - while enjoying a hosted craft beer bar. A 30' tall Crane Tower equipped with multiple stages will be the centerpiece for this event in Redmoon's massive warehouse home and will feature an eclectic mix of performances by aerialists, drummers, a rock band, the Devil herself, a DJ and more, plus... a special appearance by God.
The Devil's Cabaret opens March 27 and will run for three consecutive Fridays: tonight, March 27, April 3 and April 10 from 9pm-midnight. Tickets are $25 (21+) Purchase at www.redmoon.org or by calling 312-850-8440 x123
Over the past 24 years, Redmoon has become a valued Chicago institution with its high profile collaborations, vibrant outdoor performances and dynamic community and educational programming. Redmoon's site-specific performances have opened in Millennium Park, animated the façade of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and commemorated the groundbreaking of the Modern Wing for the Art Institute. At the same time, Redmoon has brought its work to the parks and streets of Chicago's most underserved neighborhoods, deploying spectacle to bridge differences and transform the ways that people see and understand public spaces. Since 1990, Redmoon has performed for more than 380,000 people in 49 different neighborhoods, and around the globe in Holland, Ireland, Australia, Brazil, China, Japan and France.
