Raue Center for the Arts Appoints New Board Member

Raue Center For The Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike H. Johnson to the Board of Directors. Johnson is a recognized and accomplished operations and business leader with more than 27 years of experience in the utility and construction industries.

Johnson is currently the regional director of operations for Nicor Gas, the largest natural gas distribution company in the state of Illinois. Throughout his career, Johnson has held various operations leadership positions in the utility industry, including chief operating officer and president of a privately held construction conglomerate.

"I cannot express how happy we are to welcome one of our longstanding funders to the boardroom," says Executive Director Richard Kuranda. "Nicor has been a champion of the community and the arts, and Mike Johnson is not only an incredible business leader who will bring an asset to Raue but also a devoted father of five and a community activist. We are confident that his service over the next few years will enhance our youth and education programs."

Johnson has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois. Johnson currently resides in Lakewood, Illinois.
