Pivot Arts is pleased to announce the spring and summer line-up of its popular monthly LIVE TALK Series. Part performance, part live talk show, each evening includes quirky performances, interviews, live music and the Pivot DIY, an interactive audience segment. All performances are held at Uncommon Ground, 1401 W. Devon Ave. in Chicago. Doors open at 7 pm; performances begin at 7:30 pm. Food and drink are available for purchase. Tickets for LIVE TALK, priced at $12, are available at www.pivotarts.org/events.

LIVE TALK: Artistic Resistance

Wednesday, April 19 at 7:30 pm

Artists and curators address how the current political climate is impacting their work. The evening of unique performances includes the Lit Trio Eighty Foots Per Minute and Jenny Magnus of Curious Theater Branch, plus interviews with top multidisciplinary performance curators Shoni Currier, Director of Performance at DCASE, JorDan Martins of Logan Square's Comfort Station and Steven Wang, Executive Director of High Concept Labs.

LIVE TALK: May Day!

Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 pm

Short celebratory performances and interviews with a focus on mindful living. Hosted by comedienne Plucky Rosenthal, enjoy globally-influenced pop music with Ami Saraiya, performances by multidisciplinary artists Udita Upadhyaya and Alexis Atwill, plus spoken word artists to be announced.

LIVE TALK: Best Of

Wednesday, June 7 at 7:30 pm

The final LIVE TALK of the season brings back some of our favorite performances from the year and coincides with the 5th annual Pivot Arts Festival. Enjoy unique performances, interview guests and celebratory cocktail specials.

Live Talk is an evening meant to bring us together around the arts and meaningful discussions.
