Photo Flash: Sneak Peek at MORTIFIED LIVE, Coming to Lincoln Hall Tonight

Ripped from the pages of real life, Mortified Live is a show where adults share their most embarrassing childhood letters, lyrics, journals, home movies and artwork...in front of total strangers. Seattle based performer Kimball Allen shares the stage with Chicago storytellers (Paula Ann Lopez, Max Wastler, Nora Targonski-O'Brien and Brook Allen) reading colorful journal entries chronicling his upbringing as a fabulous black sheep in a large Mormon family. Equal parts comedy, theater, and therapy, Mortified has been hailed "a cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek and featured on This American Life, NBC's Today Show, Entertainment Weekly, ChicagoTribune, Boston Globe and Talk of the Nation. Mortified is created by David Nadelberg and the Artistic Director is Neil Katcher. There are chapters in 10 cities (from DC to LA to Sweden) as well as books, film and TV projects. Mortified Chicago chapter is hosted by Shay DeGrandis and features music from The School of Rock Elmhurst.

Kimball Allen is a Best-selling Off-Broadway playwright and is a member of the prestigious Dramatist Guild of America. He is the Host of Triple Threat, a Pacific NW variety talk show. Allen has written for several syndicated publications and filmed with such networks as Comedy Central, Amazon Studios and Fox Sports.
