Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of Big Noise Theatre's 'Especially For Kids' THE WIZARD OF OZ
Big Noise Theatre returns to its "Especially For Kids" program with a production of The Wizard of Oz. This classic tale of adventure, friendship and family has been entertaining audiences for generations. This one-hour adaptation celebrates L. Frank Baum's timeless story and characters with the music everyone knows and loves, but with BNT's own special twist. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast in character below!
The Wizard of Oz, directed and choreographed by Jen Houghton, is led by Brittani Jones as Dorothy and features Aria Caldwell as Scarecrow/Hunk, Michael Ross as Tin Man/Hickory, Brent Walker as Lion/Zeke, Allison Kasbee as Glinda/Aunt Em, Pamela Anderson as Wicked Witch of the West/Miss Gulch, Mark Bjorkquist as Wizard of Oz/Professor Marvel/Uncle Henry, Krist Neumann as Toto, and an "ozsemble" of Shaina Summerville, Emma Widlowski, and Katie Zarletti.
The show features music direction by Nicholas Roman, scenic design by David Geinosky, costume design by Martha Shuford, lighting design by Marissa Geocaris, sound design by Robert Hornbostel, prop design by Debbie Szczesniak, and is produced by Martha Shuford, Debbie Szczesniak, and Daiva Paulis.
The Wizard of Oz opens Saturday, January 13, 2018 and runs through January 28 at Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 E. Thacker Street in Des Plaines. Performances are on Saturdays at 10am and 12pm, Sundays at 10am, with a special weekday presentation on Wednesday, January 24 at 10am. Tickets are $15 for all ages.
