By:

Drury Lane Theatre Young Audiences presents Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach the exciting tale of adventure and friendship perfect for the whole family, featuring words and music by Broadway's hottest duo, Academy Award-winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land,Dear Evan Hansen) - and a charming new book by Timothy Allen McDonald. Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach runs May 4 - June 16, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach - among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities - but, after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this delightful adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure featuring brand new material from one of Broadway's hottest duos.

The cast of James and the Giant Peach includes Charlie Babbo (James Henry Trotter), Matt Edmonds (Earthworm), Jason Grimm (Ladahlord),Shariesse Hamilton (Spider), Garrett Lutz (Centipede), Donica Lynn (Ladybug), Leah Morrow (Aunt Spiker), Steve O'Connell (Grasshopper) andAlex Weisman (Aunt Sponge).
