Otherworld Theatre Announces Juggernaut Film Festival and Genre-thon

Otherworld Theatrea?? proudly announces two festivals to mark the end of the Summer. a??Genre-thon a??on August 23rd-25tha?? a??& a??The 7th Annual Juggernaut Film Festivala??, September 5th-8th.
This year a??Juggernauta?? features 85 science fiction, fantasy and horror films. Festival curator and Otherworld Artistic Director, Tiffany Keane Scheafer, is excited by this year's offerings; which includes some spectacular feature length films. a??"Yamasong"a??, which tells the tale of a mechanical girl, is the first all-puppet feature in over a decade, and features the voice acting of major Hollywood stars such as a??Whoopie Goldberg, George Tekei, Ed Asner, Nathan Fillion,a?? and more! Another feature in the festival,a?? "The Last Warrior"a?? is actually a Disney produced film that transports it's protagonist from modern day Moscow, to a fantasy realm inspired by Russian folklore. The festival also includes dozens of short films.
Genre-thona?? however makes a splash in it's inaugural fest. This geek and genre-centric comedy celebration features headliners Improvised Star Treka?? and a??Improvised Jane Austen.a?? It also highlights Otherworld's in-house improv team, a??Out On A Whim (Improvised Dungeons and Dragons)a??, and their in house parody team that will be producing a??"A Taste of Man-Flesh: A Lord of the Rings Parody"a?? in conjunction with the festival. Action film inspired sketch team,a?? The Stuntmena?? bring their prop heavy comedy to the fest, and a??P.S. Burlesquea?? brings some sexy nerdlesque to the scene.
Passes to both festivals will both go live the first week of August, and can be purchased at a??www.otherworldtheatre.org. Both events will take place at Otherworld Theatre at 3914 N. Clark St, Chicago, Illinois.
