Music Theatre Company Presents STATUS, 8/24

The Music Theatre Company presents STATUS- four new fifteen minute musicals written and rehearsed in 48 hours based on facebook statuses chosen at random. STATUS will play August 23 and 24 at 8 PM at the Music Theatre Company Space at the Karger Center.

Company Members Michael Mahler & Alan Schmuckler added to the writing teams for the productions. STATUS will feature Company Members Michael Mahler, Laura Scheinbaum, Alan Schmuckler, and Julia Beck, Rebecca Chicoine, Jessie Fisher, Emily Rogers, Jill Sesso, Emily Shoolin, Monica Szaflik, Alex Weisman & Jarrod Zimmerman with Music Direction by Company Member Keith Harrison. STATUS is Choreographed by Company Member Zach Zube and Cassie Wolgamott is the Stage Manager.

Also, join TMTC Artistic Associate Emma Caywood for a FREE Storytelling Class this Sunday, August 15 from 12pm to 2pm at The Art Center in Highland Park.

Emma Caywood is a playwright, storyteller, drama teacher and creative drama leader. She returned to her native Chicago two years ago after five years working in Hollywood as a literary manager for screenwriters. She has degrees from Northwestern University in Theater and Gender Studies, as well as a certificate in Creative Writing for the Media. She is a two-time Agnes Nixon Award winning playwright whose works have been performed at Northwestern University, Apple Tree Theater, and Village Players.
