Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. is pleased to open its 29th Season with a restaging of its 2008 Jeff Award-nominated hit production OUR BAD MAGNET by Douglas Maxwell. Carlo Lorenzo Garcia returns to direct this Scottish dark comedy featuring most of the original Mary-Arrchie cast members. OUR BAD MAGNET will play tonight, March 24 - April 26, 2015 at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan Ave. in Chicago.

Tickets for OUR BAD MAGNET are available at www.maryarrchie.com or by calling the Ticketweb at (866) 468-3401. The press performance is Thursday, March 26 at 8 pm.

OUR BAD MAGNET will feature original cast members Dan Behrendt Layne Manzer and John Ross Wilson and introducing newcomer Lane Flores.

On the shores of Scotland, three 9-year-old boys begrudgingly befriend a troubled young outsider: a gifted but tormented child who harbors the ability to spin magical, often fable-like fairy tales. The boys, now men, reunite years later to try to piece together the circumstances that led to the mysterious disappearance of their childhood fascination. Playwright Douglas Maxwell, one of Scotland's brightest young writing talents, uses his own unique brand of dark humor to take the audience on a magical journey in which the boundaries between fantasy and reality merge with unpredictable results.

The production team for OUR BAD MAGNET includes: Thad Hallstein (scenic advisor), Stefin Sterberl (costume design), Matthew Gawryk (lighting design), Joe Court (sound design), Allison Goetzman (stage management advisor), Mike Sanow (technical director) Gus Menary (assistant director) and Anthony DeMarco (stage manager).

Performances run at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan Rd., Chicago. Previews: Tuesday, March 24 at 8 pm and Wednesday, March 25 at 8 pm. Press performance: Thursday, March 26 at 8 pm.
