The family classic THE WIZARD OF OZ opens November 18th and runs through December 30th at The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, IL. Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences favorite, Rachel Rockwell (Seussical, Wizard of Oz, Princess and the Pea, Aladdin, Pinocchio), will direct and choreograph.

THE WIZARD OF OZ is the story of young Dorothy who lives in Kansas with her Aunty Em, Uncle Henry and her dog, Toto. When a tornado strikes her farm, Dorothy and Toto are transported somewhere over the rainbow and into the magical Land of Oz. In the merry old land of Oz, Dorothy meets a colorful assortment of Munchkins, the Good Witch Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West. As Dorothy sets out for the Emerald City in hopes of meeting the Wizard of Oz and finding her way back home, she is befriended by the Scarecrow who wants a brain, the Tinman who is looking for a heart, and the Cowardly Lion who is seeking courage.
Relive the classic tale of these four unlikely friends who must face their fears to help Dorothy find her way home. Featuring classic musical moments such as "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead," "Follow the Yellow Brick Road," and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," THE WIZARD OF OZ will remind audiences of all ages that there really is "no place like home".

THE WIZARD OF OZ features an all-star cast, including Dara Cameron as Dorothy, Heidi Kettenring as the Wicked Witch, Mark Kaplan as Uncle Henry/OZ, George Keating at the Scarecrow, Andy Lupp as the Tinman, Michael Lindner as the Cowardly Lion, Mary Ernster as Glinda, Debbie Laumond-Blanc as Mayor Munch and ensemble members Peyton Royal and Amber Mak.

Joining TYA audience favorite Rachel Rockwell as Director and Choreographer will be Musical Director Ian Weinberger. Set and Properties Design by Jesse Gaffney, Costume Design by Nancy Missimi, Lighting Design by Jesse Klug, Sound Design by Robert E. Gilmartin, and Stage Managed by Julia Zayas-Melendez.
