THE MUSIC MAN, directed by Gary Griffin, will close at the Marriot Theatre (10 Marriott Drive) in Lincolnshire, Illinois on January 9, 2011.

The musical follows the fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill (starring Marriott favorite Bernie Yvon), as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boy's band he vows to organize - despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen.

Other shows the Marriott Theatre will present during their 2010 season include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF from February 17-April 25 (Directed by David H. Bell), THE DROWSY CHAPERONE from April 28-June 27 (Directed by Marc Robin), ONCE ON THIS ISLAND from June 30-August 29 (Directed by Marc Robin), and A CHORUS LINE from September 1-October 31(Directed by Mark Loccoco).

Currently, MY FAIR LADY is playing at the Marriot until February 14.
