MCL Chicago to Present REDDYK AND KRUPP: ON BRAND! Cabaret Series

With a Machete Productions has announced its new (almost monthly) cabaret series, REDDYK & KRUPP: ON BRAND!. The first of three shows will be on Sunday, September 24, 6pm, at MCL Chicago.

Davyd Reddyk and Ethan Krupp are a Chicago based writing team. Their first show, The Thanksgiving Circumcision, sold out a run in November 2015 at MCL and was named one of New City's Top 5 Long Form Comedy Shows of 2015. Their second show, Jenna Roxy and the Church of Modern Love was workshopped at the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival in 2016 and workshopped at The Hideout this past May. ON BRAND! is a sampling of Davyd Reddyk and Ethan Krupp's work from their shows, plus new works, songs, and ridiculous bits. The first three shows (9/24, 11/12, 12/17) will all be completely different and feature new performers.

"Game of Thrones isn't airing current episodes, and The Deuce isn't must-watch TV yet, so what else are you going to do on a Sunday?" said Krupp, enthusiastically, about his own show.

Performers include Chicago's comedy and theater staples like Jon Martinez (Tonya and Nancy: The Rock Opera), Lauren Paris (Things to Ruin), Kyrie Anderson (Lizzie), Dan Gold (Guys and Dolls), Sophie Shrand (Science With Sophie), Marco Braun (Three Blocks from Broadway), Mike Gospel (One Day Show!) and more.

"What Ethan said," said Reddyk, equally as enthusiastic about his show.
