Lyric Opera of Chicago will present international singing phenomenon Choir! Choir! Choir! at the Lyric Opera House (20 N. Wacker Drive, Chicago) on Saturday, October 21 at 8pm.

Hailed by The New Yorker as "a profound way for people to connect and interact," Choir! Choir! Choir! blurs the lines between being an audience member and a performer by bringing strangers together to sing popular songs.

All attendees will receive a sheet of music lyrics, be evenly divided based on voice types and ranges, and taught vocal harmonies. Magically, a beautifully unified choir will be formed within only 90 minutes. Tickets for this family-friendly event, taking place in Lyric's gorgeous art-deco style Rice Grand Foyer, are just $25 and are available now. There are no auditions and no experience is needed to participate.

Founded in 2011 by Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman (AKA "DaBu"), Choir! Choir! Choir! began as a weekly drop in, no-commitment singing event. It didn't take long for the Canadian choir directors' a cappella arrangements to attract great attention from thousands of people worldwide. Notably, Choir! Choir! Choir! has undertaken fan favorites such as Prince's When Doves Cry, Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, Justin Bieber's Sorry, and Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer, to name a few.

Choir! Choir! Choir! has amassed a dedicated and passionate community of singers and a thriving international fan base on YouTube. The group has performed with renowned artists such as Patti Smith, Tegan and Sara, and Rufus Wainwright, and onstage at New York's Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall with the likes of Debbie Harry and The Flaming Lips. Choir! Choir! Choir! exists to celebrate music and push the boundaries between practice and performance, artist and audience, offering therapeutic benefits with the ultimate side effect: a powerful community.
