Rogers Park's award-winning Lifeline Theatre continues bringing educational opportunities to children

WHAT: Stories Come Alive! "The Last of the Dragons" - Lifeline actors will read "The Last of the Dragons" and play drama games with children ages 5-8 (parents welcome too). Lifeline's winter children's musical adaptation of "The Last of the Dragons" runs at Lifeline Theatre from January 2 - February 21, 2010.
WHEN: Saturday, December 19, 2009, 3-4 p.m., at Rogers Park Library, 6907 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL

WHAT: 2nd Annual Winter Drama Camp - Lifeline's professional artists teach basic drama skills, which emphasize building creativity, artistry and teamwork in an atmosphere of mutual encouragement and respect, appropriate for ages 7-12.
WHEN: December 28, 29 and 30, 2009, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave.
Plus, campers are invited - with a parent - to a special invited preview performance of Lifeline's winter KidSeries production, "The Last of the Dragons" on December 31, 2009 at 1 p.m.

WHAT: "Martin Luther King Day Workshop" - members of Alternatives, Inc.'s break dance troupe Connect Force teach a three-hour workshop on break dancing basics, appropriate for ages 7-12.
WHEN: Monday, January 18, 2010, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave., Chicago.

WHAT: "Presidents' Day Workshop" - noted Chicago fight choreographers David Gregory and Richard Gilbert will teach a three-hour workshop on basic stage combat techniques, appropriate for ages 9-12.
WHEN: Monday, February 15, 2010, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave., Chicago.

WHAT: Stories Come Alive! "The Blue Shadow" - Lifeline actors will read folktales and play drama games with children ages 5-8 (parents welcome too). Lifeline's spring children's musical "The Blue Shadow," adapted from world folktales, runs at Lifeline Theatre from March 13 - May 2, 2010.
