Rogers Park's award-winning Lifeline Theatre continues bringing educational opportunities to children. The following is the Spring/Summer 2009 Kids' Event listings for Lifeline Theatre.
"Presidents' Day Workshop" – noted Chicago puppet designer Allison Daniel will teach a three-hour workshop on making and using puppets, appropriate for ages 7-12. This event will take place on Monday, February 16, 2009, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave. Tickets cost $25. To order call 773-761-4477, ext. 1 (advance registration recommended)."Stories Come Alive!" - Lifeline actors will read stories and play drama games with children ages 5-8 (parents welcome too), featuring pieces from Lifeline's spring children's show "Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle," which runs at Lifeline Theatre from March 14 – May 3, 2009. This event will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2009, 3-4 p.m., at Rogers Park Library, 6907 N. Clark St. Admission is free. For further information at Lifeline Theatre call 773-761-4477.9th Annual Summer Drama Camp – Lifeline's professional artists teach basic drama skills which emphasize self-esteem building, artistry and teamwork in an atmosphere of mutual encouragement and respect, appropriate for ages 7-12. This class will be taking place from July 13 – 24, 2009, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N.
