There's a wolf watch in effect, and Little Red will need the audience's help to get to Grandmother's House! That's the fun of Little Red and Her Friends, a not-so-scary version of the classic fairy tale, to be presented by Winnetka Theatre's Especially for Kids.

The musical treat for boys and girls ages 3-10, closes Jan. 30 at the Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Ave. Directed by professional Director/Choreographer Stacey Flaster, Little Red and Her Friends is an exciting, funny adventure that asks the audience to help Red and her pet sheep Feleece get through the woods. Joining in on the journey are a tap-dancing rabbit, a funny Depiddy Bear, and, of course, the big bad wolf!

"I love this show, " says Flaster, "because the kids in the audience are really part of the play. They sometimes tell the actors what to do. They don't just sit quietly and watch." There's also a message about the importance of "helping your friends," Flaster adds.

Written by Virginia and Janet Wilson, with music and lyrics by Janet Wilson and Michael Hendricks, Little Red and Her Friends stars Summar Jonas (Chicago), Marian Kaderbek (Chicago), Kyle Dougan (Evanston), Sarah Jane Blevins (Elgin), Cory Stonebrook (Chicago) and Mark Kosten (Franklin Park).

All tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling 847-604-0275 or online at www.winnetkatheatre.org.
