LEVER Comes to Raue Center For The Arts - 3/23 Image#RockTheRaue with an original rock-and-roll band this spring! Lever will be pulling out all the stops for a very special show at downtown Crystal Lake's Raue Center For The Arts at 8 p.m. on March 23, 2018.

"I was thrilled to discover Lever is a favorite band of many in downtown Crystal Lake," says Raue Center Executive Director, Richard Kuranda. "What a wonderful, authentic sound coming from this emerging rock band. Here's your chance to see them!"

The Chicago-based group identifies as "bipolar grunge pop," generally performing alternative rock with influences of grunge and punk. Lever grabs influences from a variety of areas of bands, from Nirvana, The Vines and Speedy Ortiz to The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, to create their own unique sound.

The four-piece released their debut album, "Hover Bored," in May 2015. The album features the single "Who Cares" and was described by We Are The Television one that "can be enjoyed the punks and pop enthusiasts alike." Lever released their most recent EP, "Ms. Lead," in August 2017. With a full-length album and an EP under their belt, Lever has plans for a third follow-up release in 2018.

Lever has a relentless urge to play anywhere and everywhere, from wrestling matches and flea markets to dive bars. They have also had the opportunity to play on legendary stages such as The Metro and the House of Blues in Chicago to the famous Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood.

With a raw energy and polished sound, Lever presents grunge pop and modern midwestern punk rock at its finest. Lever was voted Best Rock Band in the "Chicago Reader's" Best of Chicago 2017. The band is made up of Jon Babin (lead vocals/guitar), Jeff Aquino (guitar/vocals), Brandon Erker (bass) and Michael Reinhold (drums).

Tickets start at $10 ($15 at the door) and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or at 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
