Julie Ganey's GOOD ENOUGH Gets World Premiere at 16th Street Theatre

16th Street Theater announces the world premiere of GOOD ENOUGH written and performed by Julie Ganey, directed by Megan Shuchman, with Donna Miller on cello, March 14 - April 20, 2019 at North Berwyn Park District's 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn with a press opening of Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 PM.

This is now, really and truly! the last show in 16th Street's 6420 location where the theater first began in 2008 in a building once occupied by Berwyn's library. 16th Street is simultaneously fundraising and overseeing the creation of their new permanent home in former VFW Post 2378 at 1529 S. Harlem to be ready by August 2019.

How good is good enough? Sometimes life's biggest questions confront you in seemingly mundane spaces: third period of a high school drama class, the sidelines of a soccer match, the middle of a busy Chicago intersection. Good Enough is Julie Ganey's funny and brutally honest attempt to do right. Because you can be all about your community and the greater good, but when push comes to shove, you look out for your own kid first.

"Our audiences adore Julie Ganey," states Artistic Director Ann Filmer, "who had a hit at 16th Street in 2012 with her Love thy Neighbor...till it hurts . She is a gifted and hilarious storyteller who is able to poke holes into self-described do-gooder's ways; Present Company included."

GOOD ENOUGH is the fourth offering in 16th Street's 2019 Season Twelve: Shadows / Light following Steven Strafford's hit Small Jokes About Monsters, Mellisa DuPrey's Brujaja and Natalie Moore's The South Side. Julie Ganey returns to 16th Street where she has enjoyed a successful collaboration with director Megan Shuchman and composer Mike Przygoda of The Przmatics.

Featuring Julie Ganey with Donna Miller on cello.
