According to Chicago Tribune theater critic Chris Jones, Brian Friel's Faith Healer is set to be remounted this winter by its original director, J.R. Sullivan, and featuring the original cast, including Brad Armacost, Lia D. Mortensen and Si Osborne. The show will play Den Theatre, opening tonight, Dec. 8.

The drama was originally produced 17 years ago by Turnaround Theatre (now defunct) and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Faith Healer opened Steppenwolf's Studio Season and was the first production to play its Upstairs Theatre.

Sullivan now serves as the Artistic Director for the Pearl Theatre in New York City. He has directed Richard II, Wittenberg, The Sneeze, Hard Times, Twelfth Night, The Importance of Being Earnest and Widowers' Houses all off-Broadway.
