High Concept Labs to Feature Works-in-Progress and More at 2017 Open House Image

On Thursday, October 19, the arts service organization High Concept Labs (HCL) celebrates its Sponsored Artists at the biannual HCL Open House at Hairpin Arts Center from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. The bustling performance Art Party will include works-in-progress showings, films, installations, and music by artists from the organization's past and present. Light bites, drinks, and much, more await partygoers.

As a tradition that reaches back to the beginning of the organization, HCL's biannual Open House gives an opportunity for artists and audiences to come together and celebrate new artwork and projects-in-development in an environment of experimentation and discovery. Each Open House includes exciting works by present and past Sponsored Artists, highlighting the diversity and impact that the program has made upon the Chicago arts landscape. Hundreds of participants enjoy new and interactive experiences amidst food and drink in an atmosphere of transformative celebration.

"With the Open House expanding each successive season, we are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Hairpin Arts Center in Logan Square," says HCL Executive Director Steven Wang. "This is an opportunity to bring the programming and conversation to the organization's audiences, all within a dynamic space."

"Hairpin Arts Center is partnering with artists and organizations who are interested in fusing different disciplines and who will fearlessly transform our space - giving audiences a totally unique experience," says Hairpin Arts Center's Performing Arts Director Kacie Smith. "HCL and their Sponsored Artists do just that. We are so excited to have them at Hairpin Arts Center and are looking forward to future collaborations!"
