Goodman's General Theater Studies Presents FEAR AND PROGRESS, 8/6
Goodman Theatre's General Theater Studies has put together a performance themed "Fear and Progress" that will showcase the summer's work on August 6 at 7 p.m. at 170 North Dearborn in Chicago, Ill.
The final performance of the Goodman’s summer program for teenagers, General Theater Studies (GTS), combines over 30 original scenes into a 90-minute collaborative piece featuring the students of GTS. Themed “Fear and Progress,” the production was conceived by students through journaling, improvisation and theater games with the help of teaching artists Bobby Biedrzycki, Amanda Delheimer Dimond, Kevin Douglas, Khanisha Foster, Tony Sancho and Paul Whitehouse.

GTS is a free, six-week program that provides 14 to 19 year old students the hands-on opportunity to engage with and learn from local professional theater mentors. During the course of the program, students engage in all aspects of theater—on stage and behind the scenes—and collaborate on a final performance.
