Fury Theatre Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL: AN EVENING OF DICKENSIAN DELIGHTS

By:

Time travel with a uniquely intimate and immersive production of Dickens' holiday classic, A Christmas Carol: An Evening of Dickensian Delights written by Charles Dickens and adapted by Rachel Martindale at Fury Theatre.

Ms. Martindale's adaptation, originally designed as a traveling show, performed in Pilsen with DTC and in Lincoln Square's Dream Theatre Lab for the past four years, and has now joined Fury Theatre's partnership with the Chicago Parks District at Indian Boundary Park. Taken directly from the novel, this version is a time traveling experience including the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a Victorian Christmas.

Audience will enjoy holiday decorations, Victorian carols, spiced cider and cookies before the show (all included with admission) in the charming Tudor-styled field house. Then join Scrooge as he is led by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future on a journey to examine his life and learn that it's never too late to change.

Presented in Dickens' own rich language by three actors portraying all of the characters with the help of a few simple costume changes -- and some special effects -- Fury Theatre will ignite your Holiday Spirit with ours.
