Fox Valley Rep Stages MAYBE BABY, IT'S YOU, Beginning Tonight

By:

Fox Valley Repertory continues their 2015 season with a comical quest for compatibility in the romantic comedy, Maybe Baby It's You. Written by Charlie Shanian and Shari Simpson, this series of eleven vignettes will warm the hearts of lovers everywhere as two actors portray relatable situations of love - from the first kiss to the not-so-golden years of marriage. Directed by Brigitte Ditmars, performances will take place at the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage from tonight, August 27, through October 25, 2015 (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; tickets 630-584-6342 or www.foxvalleyrep.org).

Maybe Baby, It's You will preview Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28, 2015. The show will open Saturday evening, August 29, 2015 and continue through Sunday, October 25, 2015.

Tickets are priced at $32 on Fridays (and limited Thursday performances), and at $42 on Saturdays and Sundays. Dinner packages, group discounts and overnight rates are also available.

"Maybe Baby" is a wild ride through the search for that most elusive relationship- the soul mate. What starts as a laundry list of must-have soul mate qualities swiftly dwindles down to a desperate plea of finding someone who is simply "warm and breathing" in this comical quest for compatibility. From "Mr. Right" who hilariously becomes "Mr. Wrong" the minute he steps onto the dance floor, to an elderly couple who considers remarriage at their grandson's soccer game, this series of eleven vignettes is sure to warm the hearts of lovers everywhere!

"This show is an exploration of looking for, meeting, dating, marrying and possibly losing a soul mate. And more importantly, is the idea of a soul mate just that, an idea?" says Director Brigitte Ditmars. "It's also full of truths about relationships that we all can relate to. It highlights our quirks in the comedic scenes, and it highlights our vulnerabilities in the tender scenes."

The cast of Maybe Baby, It's You features Joseph Galizia (previously in Fox Valley Rep's Brighton Beach Memoirs and Unnecessary Farce) and Marika Mashburn.

Maybe Baby, It's You runs Thursday, August 27, 2015 through Sunday, October 25, 2015. Show times are: Fridays & Saturdays @ 8pm, and Sundays @ 2pm. Special Thursday performances are August 27 and September 3 @ 8pm, and September 17 and 24, and October 15 @ 2pm.

This program is partially supported by the St. Charles Visitors Cultural Commission, Daily Herald, Culver's of St. Charles, and MCC Technology.

Pheasant Run Resort is located at 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL. For tickets and additional information, call 630-584-6342 or visit www.foxvalleyrep.org.
