Foundling's Theatre Present THE EIGHT REINDEER MONOLOGUES

By: Nov. 15, 2016

Something very wrong just happened at the North Pole. Or did it?

Santa's eight flying reindeer are an elite team wreathed in magic on December 24th but it's a different story the other 364 days of the year. After an unspeakable act is alleged, long time resentments and deep dark secrets are exposed to the light as The Eight Reindeer confess what they know. And what they don't know. Did he or didn't he?

A Note from the Director

"I first read The Eight in 1993 when Jeff was writing it. I was lucky enough to be involved in two different productions (one as an actor and one as a director) in 1994 - its first year of production. I have also directed it a number of times in the late 90's in Chicago. Now, here we are. 2016! What has changed? A lot and oh so little.

Surprisingly. The Eight is more relevant than it was 22 years ago. Hell, its relevancy increased on November 8th. Lines meant one thing on the 7th and had all new meaning on the 9th.

I am 22 years older. Hopefully wiser. And I am working with actors who have decades and decades of experience. We have gone deeper and darker and more truthful than ever before. While wearing antlers. I could not be happier to return to this play with this cast"'
