El Bear Theatre Announces The World Premiere Of THE NOSTALGIA WILL EAT ITSELF ImageEl Bear Theatre presents the world premiere of The Nostalgia will Eat Itself written by John Fisher and directed by Bran Moorhead. The Nostalgia Will Eat Itself runs April 6th-April 28th in the Salon at Collaboraction 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60662. The press opening is April 7th at 7pm.

The cast includes Marta Jean Evans (Casey), Logan Branum (TatertotGamer), Abe Elmourabit (Gerald), and El Bear founding company member Shaun Rosten (Bryson)

The creative team includes Bailey Neill (costumes), Kristan Saloky (projections/videography/titles), Dahn Polito (image design), and Nathaniel Humphrey (Social Media). Lights, sounds, sets, and props provided by the El Bear production team (Nathan Bell, John Fisher, Rauly Luna, Bran Moorhead, and Jared Stovell).

Casey Hobbs is living the Millennial American Dream. A dead end job, rent she can't afford, and an overwhelming, soul crushing sense of dread. On the worst tinder date of her life, she meets YouTuber Bryson Lee, a gamer on the verge of success. His new acquisition, a rare vintage console called The ByteBoy33, should catapult him into YouTube superstardom. If they can survive the night...

The Nostalgia Will Eat Itself is a horror romp, spook-a-blast, B-movie of a play that takes the audience through Hell and back, and back again.

The Nostalgia Will Eat Itself will run April 6th-April 28th Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm.

Tickets are $15 general, $12 industry.

The show will be playing at the Salon in Collaboraction at the FlatIron Building 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60662.

Collaboraction is accessible via the CTA Damen Blue line, #9 Ashland, #72 North, and #56 Milwaukee.
