We're all broken in some way and afraid of the things we most want in life. That's certainly true for Lyric, a young woman afraid of being alone. It's equally true of Nate, a shut in who can't stand the company of others. Both force the other out of their comfort zone in a whirlwind night beginning with an awkward party and ending with fumbled intimacy. Each in their own way discovers that sometimes the only thing holding you back from everything you want is yourself.

Performances run Friday, February 14th through Sunday, March 8th on Fridays through Sundays at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00. Reservations are recommended. Tickets can be purchased via the Dream Theatre Company website at www.dreamtheatrecompany.com.

Featuring Jeremy Menekseoglu as Nate & Nicole Roberts as Lyric. Directed by Laura Gouin. Hostess & Stage Manager, Kaitlin Stewart.

Dream Theatre Company has been producing and performing original plays in Chicago since 2003 and has been awarded Best Off-Loop Theatre Company (2014, 2012, 2010) in the the Chicago Reader Poll. Other awards include Best 15-Minute Horror Play (Audience Annihilated Part Two: Gold Star Sticker, Chicago Reader Poll 2014), Best New Play (Chicago Reader, Peter Pan's Shadow trilogy 2012 and The Agon Trilogy 2010), a Top 5 Show of 2010 (New City, Electra, part two of The Agon Trilogy) and of 2007 (New City, The Baby Killers), and a Jeff Award for The Black Ducking (2009).

Now experimenting and developing our signature style in the new Dream Laboratory space in Lincoln Square, Dream Theatre Company continues to create work that follows our mission: to produce all original work; shatter the barrier between actor and audience; focus on the development of the actor as an artist; leave no member of the audience to feel as a mere spectator but puts each at the very center of the play; and deliver the highest art possible in its most raw, unflinching and entertaining form.
