Dominican University Theatre Arts Lab Series Presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY A NEW MUSICAL

By:

Opening the Theatre Arts Lab Series series is a monster of a show! Charles Addams' weird and wonderful family comes to devilishly delightful life in The Addams Family. This magnificently macabre new musical comedy is created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, and Drama Desk Award winner Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party).

In an original story that's every father's nightmare, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's"normal" boyfriend and his parents. Potions are misplaced, tangoing ancestors intercede, and families find that there is some element of the unusual in everyone.

Box Office- Tuesday-Friday Noon-6 p.m., (708) 488-5000
