Theresa is a young, vivacious, and very single couples' therapist. While she's great (well, okay) at keeping couples together, she can't seem to find a guy for herself. But when Mr. Wonderful moves in next-door, it's obsession at first sight, and no obstacle (or girlfriend) is getting in her way. With a little help from her hench-puppets, she'll sabotage dates, push people out of the closet, and ruin relationships; mixing and matching her clients until it's just Wonderful and her. Forever. And ever. And ever. And ever. (Run time 120 min.)
Featuring: Sean Caron, Erika Hakmiller, Matthew Lamson, Haley Mozer, Emma Palizza, Ethan Peterson, and Taylor Toms.
Death & Pretzels is a Chicago based theater company dedicated to exploring oddity, antiquity and ensemble built experiences- we have a vested interest in producing works that are long-forgotten, oft-neglected or out-of-the box. We strive to create theater you can't see anywhere else. D&P was born in April of 2014 when a group of artists came together to collaborate on a production of S. Ansky's The Dybbuk, a 100 year old Yiddish ghost story. D&P's first production ignited a passion for stories told through a strong ensemble, featuring bold, interesting female characters and themes often centered around the occult, religion and the exploration of the unknown. Over the course of their first three seasons, Death & Pretzels has had the honor of presenting the Chicago premieres of Chiara Atik's Women, Steve Yockey's very still & hard to see, and the world premiere of Paul Pasulka's Gruoch, or Lady Macbeth.
