Producers Jacobsen Entertainment in association with Lionsgate and Magic Hour Productions announced that Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage has joined the Millionaire’s Club with box office receipts totaling $1,095,062 for 8 performances for the week ending October 26, 2008.

Dirty Dancing began previews on September 28, 2008 and opened Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theatre and immediately announced the hit show will extend the Chicago engagement through January 17, 2009.

Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage is a coming of age love story involving the talented and headstrong dancer Johnny Castle (Josef Brown) and Frances “Baby” Houseman (Amanda Leigh Cobb). During her family’s summer vacation at the popular Kellerman’s resort, Baby, a doctor’s daughter with dreams of joining the Peace Corps, meets Johnny, the guy from the wrong side of the tracks. Against all odds, they fall in love, learning life-changing lessons along the way. Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage, follows the highs and lows of their summer romance.

Re-imagined for the stage, Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage, combines all the intensity and excitement of live theater with new songs, new scenes, and thrilling new dances. The production is an unprecedented live experience for lifelong fans of the film and new audiences alike that explodes with heart-pounding music, breathtaking emotion and sensationally sexy dancing.

Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage plays the Cadillac Palace Theatre through January 17, 2009.  Performances are Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.  Please Note: There will be no performance on Wednesday, December 24 at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, December 25 at 7:30 p.m., or Thursday, January 1 at 7:30 p.m.  There will be additional performances Friday, December 26 at 2 p.m., Monday, December 29 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Individual tickets range in price from $35 - $100.  A limited number of premium tickets are available to all performances and range in price from $125 - $155.  Tickets are available at Broadway In Chicago Box Offices (18 W Monroe, 24 W Randolph St and 151 W Randolph St), through the Broadway In Chicago Ticket Line at (312) 902-1400, at all Ticketmaster ticket centers (including all Hot Tix, select Carson Pirie Scott, Coconuts and FYE stores) or online at Ticketmaster.com.  Groups of 20 or more should call (312) 977-1710.
