Church Of Beethoven, Oak Park Presents DUO NOVO NUEVO

Church of Beethoven, Oak Park welcomes back audience favorite Marcus Dunleavy with "Duo Novo Nuevo".

Duo Novo Nuevo is Julie Koidin, flute and Marcus Dunleavy, guitar. Both Julie and Marcus have a broad background in performing Latin American music.

They first played together in a production of Astor Piazzolla's "Maria de Buenos Aires" - a "tango operetta" at the Chicago Cultural Center. Their upcoming Church of Beethoven appearance will feature a wide range of music from Brazil and Argentina with composers and styles ranging from Celso Machado's choros and choro-sambas to Mauricio Pinchi Cardozo Ocampo's arrangements of Agustín Barrios' solo guitar works, originally performed by Paquito D'Rivera and Berta Rojas, now arranged for Julie and Marcus for this performance.
