Chicago's Theatre Seven Presents World Premiere of COOPERSTOWN, Now-12/20

By:

Brian Golden's Cooperstown began previews at Chicago's Theatre Seven last week and officially opens tonight and will run through December 20.  This production is directed by Brian Stojak.

It's the summer of 1962, and Jackie Robinson is about to be the first black inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame. That doesn't mean much to Junior Murphy, a black restaurant manager who can't get a promotion, and whose little sister has her own history-making plans for the big weekend. When a Midwest minor-leaguer comes to town chasing his idol, race, love and murder turn a sleepy New York town upside down.

Tickets range in price from $14- $18 and can be purchased by calling (773) 404-7336 or visiting www.greenhousetheater.org. Greenhouse Theater Center is located at 2257 N. Lincoln.
