Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) concludes the 2009/10 Subscription Series with The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare's spark-filled comedy of unconventional courtship. Following her celebrated production of Twelfth Night last season, Bush Theatre Artistic Director Josie Rourke returns to CST to stage Shakespeare's all-out battle of the sexes.

Shakespeare's playfully provocative battle of the sexes pits the shrewish Katharina against the fortune-seeking Petruchio-but even now the verdict is still out on who tames whom. British director Josie Rourke returns to CST to bring Shakespeare's fiery courtship to the Courtyard Theater's stage.

The Taming of the Shrew will begin previews at the Courtyard Theater on April 7 at 7:30pm, with an opening date of April 14. The Courtyard Theater can be located at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, 800 E Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL. Tickets range from $44-$75, depending on the day of the performance.
