Chicago Premiere of 'PLEASANT DREAMS' Set for 10/14 at Chopin Theatre

By:

Two Lights Theatre Company returns to The Chopin to proudly unveil its second full season with the Chicago Premiere of PLEASANT DREAMS, by founding member of Theatre X: John Schneider. PLEASANT DREAMS, "an evening of entertainment", opens October 14th at the historic Chopin Theatre in Chicago (1543 West Division Street.) Pleasant Dreams will run October 14th thru November 8thwith performances on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and Mondays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm. The press opening will take place Monday, October 14th at 7:30pm. (Audiences are encouraged to arrive half an hour early to enjoy live music and the Two Lights Visual Art Series.)

The playwright, John Schneider, has reached out to the company and is available for interviews for any press coverage before and after the opening of the production. Please contact Dan Smeriglio if you would like to arrange an interview with Mr. Schneider.

The year is 1978. Set in the pleasant town of Waukesha, Wisconsin, three siblings and their significant others reunite for a lavish backyard birthday party. The ugly divorce and subsequent absence of their parents, as well as the looming fear of their own diminishing lives, are the topics of conversation - and a perfectly good way to ruin a perfectly pleasant afternoon.

The performance will be accompanied with a live band covering the nostalgic tunes of Les Paul and Mary Ford and a "Tableau Vivant Series" inspired by John Schneider's script.

Tickets for opening (October 14th and 17th) are $20.00 for general admission and $15.00 for students and seniors. Discounted industry tickets availableMonday nights. There is no performance on Monday, November 4th. For more information on ticketing, visit www.twolightstheatre.com or emailboxoffice@twolightstheatre.com
