By:

The sixth annual Chicago Fringe Festival, September 3 - 13, is proud to announce the sixth annual Lottery Party, Saturday, Feb. 28, doors open at 2 p.m., at Rex Tavern, 4933 N. Milwaukee. The Lottery Party is the gathering where individuals and organizations learn if they will participate in the 2015 Fringe Festival. The Lottery Party is free and open to the public. The random drawing of participants includes live music, fringe bingo, food and drink specials from Rex Tavern. The party is also broadcast live for those who cannot attend here. For more information go to ChicagoFringe.org.

The Chicago Fringe Festival 2015 returns to Jefferson Park after its fifth presenting year with the addition of Kids Fringe, five slots reserved for performances geared towards families with children 12 years old and younger. These shows launch CFF's pilot Kids Fringe which will be accompanied by free activities and workshops at Fringe Central, the main hangout spot during the festival. The complete Chicago Fringe Festival line up consists of 25% organizations using the first come, first served option and the remaining 75% using a lottery system. A total of 50 shows will be accepted into the 2015 Chicago Fringe Festival, half local artists and half non-local artists, including the five Kids Fringe performances.

Chicago Fringe is uncensored and un-juried. 100% of net ticket sales are returned to the artists. Artists pay a $25 lottery fee and then, if selected, a participation fee of $250-$650, depending on the number of performances and venue. All Fringe performers receive box office assistance, promotions through the Chicago Fringe Festival website and 100% of the net box office revenue for their performances.
