The Second City Mainstage cast has begun rehearsals for the 99th revue with new cast members and a new director, Billy Bungeroth. Bungeroth directed The Second City e.t.c. Jeff Nominated hit, The Absolute Best Friggin' Time of Your Life which has had record-breaking attendance.

The anticipated opening of the new show is March 2011 and will have original music by Julie Nichols.

Listed below is cast information for The Second City Mainstage:

Edgar Blackmon is so thankful to be working for The Second City. From Richton Park, IL he attended Rich South High School. A Graduate of The Second City Conservatory, he wrote and performed in four revues with The Second City Outreach & Diversity Ensemble. Edgar also toured with The Second City Touring Company. He is also part of the comedy team Mad Highentists.

Holly Laurent is a Chicago writer, actor and improviser. She is a member of the long-standing improv group The Reckoning, and has been a featured storyteller for Serendipity Theatre Collective's Second Story series. Before coming to the Mainstage, Holly toured with The Second City Touring Company. She has trained at the Annoyance Theater, iO Chicago, and The Second City Conservatory.

Timothy Edward Mason previously appeared in three Second City e.t.c. productions including Studs Terkel's Not Working, and he made his Mainstage debut with Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies. An alumnus of Marquette University, Tim is a founding member of Brick and has performed at iO and ComedySportz Chicago.

Katie Rich is a Chicago native and attended Northwestern University before joining The Second City Touring Company in 2007 and getting the opportunity to travel the world performing, writing and teaching. She can be seen in those ubiquitous Sonic Drive-in commercials, in Martin Short's Let Freedom Hum, in Harold Ramis' The Ice Harvest, and with Abigail Breslin in the upcoming Janie Jones.

Sam Richardson made his Mainstage debut with Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies. Originally from The Second City Detroit. Other theatre credits include Pedro Orsini's Parade of Penniless Players (Planet Ant Theatre), Sweeney Todd (Abreact Theatre) and Cancer! The Musical (New York Fringe Festival).

Tim Robinson also debuted on the Mainstage with Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies. He hails from Metro Detroit, Michigan, where he was a member of The Second City Detroit Mainstage for almost two years. Prior to that, he toured the great state of Michigan with The Second City Detroit Touring Company.

Billy Bungeroth (Director) is a native Chicagoan and graduate of iO, Second City Training Centers, and The Second City Directing Program, as well as a former lowly SNL intern. He directed the Jeff Nominated revue, The Absolute Best Friggin' Time of Your Life as well as The Second City Touring Company. Additional directing credits include the Chicagoland TV pilot, The Fowler Family Radio Hour, and two Second City Unhinged Series shows. Billy has also performed at Unhinged and continues to cut his teeth weekly at The Annoyance Theater in Chicagoland. He is part of the Training Center faculty teaching both in the youth and the adult program.

With the mayoral election in full swing, Kelly Leonard remarked, "A new year, a new mayor, a new Second City cast - we can't wait to offer up some new laughter for the city of Chicago."
