Three Cat Productions presents the world premiere of the new musical Spark by Rob Dorn and Gary Gimmestad at the Chicago Park District's Berger Park Coach House Theater at 6205 N. Sheridan Road (Edgewater by Granville el stop on Red Line).

20-year-old Kale has just left the nest. Facing the usual challenges of work, dating, and furniture, he meets Buddy, a mysterious older neighbor. As their platonic friendship grows, strange coincidences pile up, and Kale begins to dig into his own family's past. Can Kale find the piece that's been missing from his family before it's too late?

Spark is new musical written by Rob Dorn and Gary Gimmestad. Rob Dorn recently collaborated with Gary Gimmestad writing lyrics to original music featured in Three Cat's "At Mister Kelly's." Dorn and Gimmestad worked together with the nationally renowned vocal group "Three Hits and a Miss". Dorn has performed in hundreds of theatres across the country including regional theatre and national tours including the national tour of "Into the Woods". Gimmestad has also performed and toured as pianist and music director for a number of shows including Ain't Misbehavin', 1940s Radio Hour, Little Shop of Horrors, Forever Plaid and many others.

The cast includes Rachel Friend, Michael Jack Hampton, Lauren Miller, and Tommy Ross.

The musical is directed by Jason Paul Smith, Three Cat Productions, Artistic Director. Music Direction is by Roy A. Freeman. Stage Manager is Julia Heeren. Dramaturg is Teryl Thurman. Resident Lighting Designer is Pat Henderson. Accompanist is Benjamin Nichols.

Previews begin May 4, 2018. The show runs is May 11 - June 9, 2018. Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 4:00pm and 7:30pm at the Berger Park Coach House Theater at 6205 N. Sheridan in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain. No late seating.

Tickets are $25 each for all performances. Tickets can be purchased on our website at threecatproductions.com or via phone at 312.970.9840.

Street parking (paybox until 9pm) is available on Granville, side streets, and Broadway (Handicapped and a limited parking is available. Please call the box office for special parking arrangements).
