Career Transition For Dancers Hosts 1st Annual Stepping Into Hope & , 10/2

Career Transition For Dancers announces the first "Stepping into Hope & Change: A free career development conference for dancers" on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Lou Conte Dance Studio at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, 1147 W. Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL 60607. Special thanks to Hubbard Street Dance Chicago for providing the space.

All dancers - whether they are still dancing, staying in the dance field, preparing for a transition, already transitioned, or exploring other industries, next steps and career paths - are invited to attend. You do not need to be a Career Transition For Dancers client or union member to attend.

The free all-day conference is from 12 Noon - 6:30pm. The day's events begins with a presentation and keynote speaker (tba). Complimentary light refreshments will be served. Two other sessions will follow.

The workshops will be facilitated by Suzie Jary, MSW, LCSW, CP, Clienet Service Consultant; and Maryellen Langhout, NBCCC - Career Counselor (Chicago).

With offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and a mobile National Outreach Project, we have provided over 50,000 hours of individual and group career counseling and awarded millions of dollars in educational and certification program scholarships and entrepreneurial support. Outside of the organization's 5,000 active dancer-clients, we have helped thousands of dancers in 47 states take their first steps in discovering rewarding second careers.
