Route 66 Theatre Company produces plays and musicals that embrace the American spirit of exploration and fearlessness. Theatre is an invitation to discussion and participation, with both artists and patrons. Our journey begins with engaging our audiences in our play selection process through monthly reading events and ends in a season of Chicago-based premieres. We value inclusion of many voices and a bold approach to stories with an urgency to be told. We take a no-holds-barred approach to bringing the highest quality of production values and performances to our Chicago audiences. Our programming is selected based on its ability to grab an audience emotionally and take us all on a theatrical "road trip" of discussion and discovery.
