Buzz22 Presents A DOLL’S HOUSE 4/9-16

By:

Buzz22 Chicago presents Ibsen's masterpiece up close and personal, in an intimate and visceral site-specific production. Set in an actual living room and blurring the line between stage and audience, the immersive production, directed by company member Scott Weinstein, gives audience members the opportunity to live the play alongside the characters and engage with this timeless classic like never before.

On the surface, Nora lives the perfect life as a devoted mother, daughter and wife. But how real is it? On Christmas Eve, Nora finds her world turned upside down when the past returns to haunt her. As the facade crumbles around her she is forced to reexamine her own self worth and the choices she has made.

The cast features company members Fred Geyer (Krogstad) and Rebecca Loeser (Helene), with Anne Leone (Nora), Jack Birdwell (Torvald), Elise Walter (Mrs. Linde), Michael Moran (Dr. Rank), Kirsty Collins (Anne-Marie), Olive Cantor (Emmy) and Tyler Bednar (Ivar).

Performance Dates:
Saturday April 9th at 2pm and 8pm
Sunday April 10th at 2pm
Friday April 15th at 8pm
Saturday April 16th at 2pm and 8pm

All performances take place at the John Evans Alumni Center located at 1800 Sheridan Rd, Evanston, IL 60201. Due to the unique nature of this production, seating is extremely limited. To reserve tickets, please email tickets@buzz22chicago.com with your name, number of tickets, and the date and time of the performance you would like to see. If you are with the press, we would be glad to offer you a complimentary ticket to the show. Please mention your name and publication in your email.

Prior to the performance on Sunday, April 10th, Buz22 Chicago is hosting an alumni event entitled "Making It Home." The event is being held to foster discussion amongst current and former Northwestern students about how to get involved the Chicago artistic community.

Buzz22 Chicago was founded in 2010 by a group of Northwestern University graduates and exists as a home for artists and audiences eager to activate their imaginations by both celebrating and challenging the theatrical medium.
