Bring Your Own Theatre Productions will be presenting The Rover by Aphra Behn at Prop Theater, 3502 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60618, July 28th-30th and August 4th-6th. The Rover is a restoration era comedy written by one of the first professional female playwrights. BYOT Productions has put their own unique twist on this classic while staying true to the raucous spirit of the original. Set against the backdrop of a perpetual Carnival, the characters in this play each find themselves on a quest for love and lust, freedom and purpose. Throw in masks, mistaken identities, and a few other surprises, and you have the makings of a fast paced romp thru gender politics and the difference between temporary and permanent happiness.

The Rover is directed by Robin Bousel and the cast features Erika Lebby, Anne Lorraine Tracy, Megan Richards, Lexi DeSollar, Sarah Allyn Althen, Kat Moraros, Jessica Goforth, Rachel Silvert, Vinny Greco, Aaron Wegner, Ryan Kordana, Alex Philoon, Matt Defiore, Max Weinberg, and Dante Charlton

Tickets are available for purchase at http://www.brownpapertickets.com. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8pm with the Sunday shows at 4pm. Saturday August 5th will be an accessible performance with ASL interpreters present.
