AstonRep Presents THE DUMB WAITER and IN THE MOMENT at RhinoFest, Now thru 2/14
AstonRep Theatre Company will participate in the 25th annual Rhinoceros Theater Festival with two comedic one-acts: The DUMB WAITER by Harold Pinter (remount from Abbie Fest 2013) and IN THE MOMENT by Jeffrey Helgeson, co-directed by Artistic Director Robert Tobin and Adrian Balbontin. The line-up, featuring Rory Jobst and Ensemble member Tim Larson, will play four performances only: today, January 17 & 31, February 7 & 14, 2014 at 7 pm at Prop Thtr, 3502 N. Elston Ave. in Chicago. One of Harold Pinter's most recognized and acclaimed plays, THE DUMB WAITER is a humorous and provocative story of two hit men as they wait in a basement for their next assignment. Told through Pinter's unmistakable wit and poignant pauses, the story is recognized for its exceptional writing and subtle character development. IN THE MOMENT picks up after THE DUMB WAITER has closed, as the two actors fight and struggle over the importance of theater and the pointless folly and epic significance of it all.
