2017 Saints Grant Awards Presentation to Take Place 6/12
The 2017 grants are funding: archiving performances, the commission of new work, enhancement of performance space, costumes & props, ADA access, and the purchase of various kinds of technical equipment. Awardees, expressing their cultural and ethnic diversity, addressing underrepresented or physically challenged audiences and their dedication to the creative, span the metro Chicago area.
The all-volunteer grant commission evaluated nearly 170 proposals totaling almost one million dollars in monetary requests. Funding for the grants comes almost exclusively from the annual dues and donations of the over 2,300 members of The Saints. All donations are welcomed.
The Saints 4th Annual Grant Awards Presentation and Celebration will be held at the Athenaeum on Monday June 12. The doors will open at 6 pm for networking and a cash bar. At 7pm, we will begin the award presentation with Dueling Critics - Kelly Kleiman and Jonathan Abarbanel, as emcees. The public is cordially invited to attend this free event. RSVP to grants@saintschicago.org.
