The Old Courthouse Theatre (49 Spring St., Concord) presents Tom Griffin's play, THE BOYS NEXT DOOR from April 29th to May 9th. This play it revolves around the lives of a social worker named Jack and four of the mentally challenged clients he's in charge of. This production is directed by Phil Taylor.

The play takes place at a group home in a New England city, where four men with either an intellectual disability or a mental illness live under the supervision of an earnest, but increasingly "burned out" young social worker named Jack. Mingled with scenes from the daily lives of these four men, the audience are reminded that, just like the rest of us, people with disabilities want to love and laugh and find meaning and purpose in the brief time that they, like us, are allotted on this earth.

The performance schedule is April 29, 30 at 8:00pm; May 1, 7, 8 at 8:00pm; and May 2, 9 at 2:30pm. For tickets, call 704-788-2405 or visit the website at www.oldcourthousetheatre.org.

Old Courthouse Theatre routinely works with other non-profits and contributes to the community by donating tickets to other Cabarrus County non-profit organizations to aid in their fund-raising.
