Children's Theatre of Charlotte Recruiting for Summer Teaching Artists Positions

Children's Theatre Education Enrichment Department is accepting applications for Summer Camp 2010 teaching artists. Teaching Artists schedules will vary according to mutual availability. All applicants are required to submit a Children's Theatre of Charlotte General application and resume.

Information regarding the positions follows:

MADD (Music, Art, Drama, Dance) and Performance Camps
Location: ImaginOn
Beginning the Week of June 14 to August 20 (no camps the week of July 5-9).

· Positions available: Music, Art and Dance Instructors. One position available for Stage Director.

· Ages served: First through 7th Grade Students

· Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

· Requirements: Resume and application should highlight any teaching experience. Special consideration for applicants who have experience instructing large groups of students at one time.

· Weekly Wage: $800

Pre-school and Primary Camps
Location: ImaginOn
Beginning the Week of June 6 to August 20

· Positions available: Drama teachers.

· Ages served: 3 years old to 2nd grade

· Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (some week will be only half days from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

· Requirements: Resume and application should highlight any teaching experience.

Weekly Wage: $400/half-day camps and $800/full-day camp

Davidson Summer Camp
Location: Davidson College
Beginning the Week of June 21 to August 6

· Positions available for Drama and Music/Movement teachers.

· Ages served: 3 years old to 7th grade

· Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

· Requirements: Resume and application should highlight any teaching experience.

· Weekly Wage: $800

High School Theatre Arts Summer Camp
Location: Actor's Theatre
Beginning the Week of June 28 to August 13

· Positions available for a variety of performance camps which includes improv, musical theatre, one-act, and acting.

· Ages served: 9th grade to 12th grade

· Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

· Requirements: Resume and application should highlight any teaching experience. Experience with high school instruction will be given special consideration.

· Weekly Wage: $800
