The Sound of Music has withstood the test of time with good reason: all the world loves the Von Trapps and the story of their escape from Austria across the Alps. Now you can experience this iconic family's beloved homeland through their eyes while lodging in the country estate where they resided, followed by your own personal escape to the Alps!

Your adventure begins with complimentary roundtrip airfare for two to Salzburg, Austria, where you will spend five days, four nights in the Von Trapp Family Suite at the luxurious Villa Trapp. This stunning estate, which was overtaken by the Nazis during WWII, was closed to the public from 1947 to 2008. Today, the magnificent villa serves as a hotel and has been lovingly restored to reflect the period during which the Von Trapp Family called it home, including original photographs of Maria, Gorge and the children.

Onsite, you will enjoy impeccable cuisine, exceptional service, and beautifully manicured grounds that provide a park-like setting. Off-site, all that the city of Salzburg has to offer is just four kilometers from your doorstep.

Following your stay at Villa Trapp, you will journey 45 minutes south to the Alpine village of St. Johann im Pongau and spend three days and nights in a private apartment at the Alpenland Sporthotel, where outdoor and indoor activities abound throughout the year. In summer, you can enjoy a truly unique hiking experience in the Alps with some of the most beautiful views our world has to offer. In winter, there is unparalleled Alpine skiing and snowboarding, as well as a 3.5 mile long toboggan run within walking distance of the resort. No matter which season you choose to visit, the resort will welcome you back from your daily adventures with a heated pool, sauna, fitness center, tennis courts, three restaurants, and a charming pub that is open until 1:00 a.m.

In addition, while you are in Austria, you and your guest will have the opportunity to relive your favorite scene from The Sound of Music,fully costumed, and immortalized in a portfolio of beautiful photographs taken by a professional photographer, as well as a 20"x24" framed portrait on canvas. Your photo shoot can take place at the Villa Trapp, in the Alps, or anywhere in between - the choice is yours.
