Ware Center to Host PA Presenters Showcase, Featuring Varied Arts Presentations, 11/10-11

Pennsylvania Presenters and the Ware Center of Millersville University are joining to host a "Showcase of the Performance Arts" at the Ware Center on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11, as part of the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Performing Arts Market conference in Lancaster. The public is invited to attend two nights of "Showcase" performances, to feature a variety of dazzling, 15-minute performances by professional, national touring artists. Tickets are $10 for each night of showcase performances, or $15 for both nights. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

The "Dance Showcase" on Monday, Nov. 10, will start at 7:30 p.m., and feature the best in contemporary dance with presentations by Philadelphia's BalletX, Brian Sanders' Junk, and the Kun-Yang Lin Dancers; the New Jersey-based Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company; Buffalo, NY-based LehrerDance company; Maryland's Vincent E. Thomas and VTDance; and the Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater.

A Music and Variety Showcase on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., will feature the feisty female trio, Belle Starr; the Toronto-based a cappella group, Eh440; the spoken word artistry of Oveous Maximus; the traditional country music sound of the Malpass Brothers; singer-songwriter and guitarist Emel Mathlouthi; and the rich, South American strains being revived by the Héctor Del Curto Tango Quintet.

Discount parking vouchers for the Prince Street Garage (located at North Prince and West Orange streets) will be available at the front desk of the Ware Center for the evenings of the performances.
