Holiday Shopping and Laughter Come to Gettysburg Community Theatre

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in downtown Gettysburg, is ready for the holidays and is hosting a Holiday "Pop-Up Boutique" fundraiser on Friday, December 1st from 5:30-8:00pm to coincide with downtown Gettysburg's First Friday events. For this one evening, GCT will turn into a temporary retail outlet hosting Styled by Amber Stella & Dot Boutique featuring modern jewelry and accessories; comfortable dresses, leggings, and stylish tops from LuLaRoe; meal kits, spices, and mixes from Tastefully Simple; candles, scents, and home décor from Partylite Candles, and home-made crocheted hats, scarves, and accessories from Green Cat Crochet, as well as GCT gift certificates for tuition, tickets, concessions/gifts. A portion of all sales from this event will be donated back to Gettysburg Community Theatre. Free refreshments including cookies and hot apple cider will be served. A free family-friendly Improv show will follow the event at 8:00pm at GCT.

"This is first time we've hosted an event like this in which First Friday shoppers can shop right inside our theatre!" noted event organizer and GCT Board Member, Lori Hockley. "We're hoping to not only to raise money during this event to support our mission, but also to perhaps welcome community members in our doors whom have not yet seen our wonderful facility. It truly is a downtown gem!"

This month GCT is proud to once again for the 3rd year in a row, partner with Totem Pole Playhouse for their professional production of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol To be performed December 8-17, 2017 at Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater in downtown Gettysburg. Tickets on sale now at Majestic Theater, as well as the websites of Totem Pole Playhouse, Majestic Theater, and GCT.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on December 1st for all of GCT's 2018 productions for their 10th Season including: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat -January 5-21, 2018, Disney's Sleeping Beauty kids -February 2-18, 2018, Godspell -March 2-18, 2018, Disney's Beauty & The Beast jr. -April 27-May 13, 2018, Into The Woods -June 1-17, 2018, Children Of The Battlefield and America The Beautiful -July 6-22, 2018, A Year With Frog And Toad -August 10-26, 2018, Annie -September 7-23, 2018, The Diary Of Anne Frank -October 5-21, 2018, The Wizard Of Oz -November 16-18, 2018 (At The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover), and Home For The Holidays November 23-December 2, 2018.

Reserved seating tickets for performances held at GCT are available in advance online at www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org ,or via phone, or at the door one hour before each show time if seats are still available in GCT's very intimate, and almost always sold out, 80 seat theatre.
